Green Mango Chammanthi

Plenty of green mangos are available in grocery stores during the summer. During the mango season, mango chammandi is a favorite curry in Kerala, India. The fresh mango is rich in vitamin C which is essential for human growth, and vitamin A is the key to good vision. Green mango also helps to maintain a healthy immune system. The good thing about this curry is there is no cooking involved so that you can make this very quickly. Mango chammadi is a healthy curry served as a side dish for rice.

Ingredients

1 medium mango, Skinned and sliced
1/2 cup grated coconut
1 shallot, skinned
1 big green chile
1 small piece ginger, peeled
1 sprig curry leaves, stem removed
1 teaspoon salt

Cooking Directions

Put all the ingredients into a food processor and grate it well. Mango chammadi is ready to be served as a side dish for rice.
