Cook time: 5-10 min
Servs: 4-6
Ingredients
2 cups of whole milk
1/2 cup of plain yogurt
Cooking Direction
-
Boil two cups of milk in a pot.
-
After the milk boils, bring down the flame to medium. Continue simmering on a medium flame for 2-3 more minutes. Simmering will help remove the water from the yogurt.
-
Turn off the stove, remove from flame, and set aside for the milk to cool.
-
When the milk comes to room temperature, pour the milk and yogurt into a glass jar. Set this on the the side for 6-8 hours. During the winter, it’s best to put the jar in a warmer place such as your oven. This process will create healthy thick plain yogurt.
Tips: You can keep some yogurt aside and make homemade yogurt as long as you want. Every time you make a new batch of yogurt, make sure you use a clean jar. Don’t add the milk into the same jar over and over again.
